PURPLE BOOK-KEEPING SERVICES was established in 2000 by Debbie Bridgen. Having seen the difficulties encountered by a friend when trying to set up her own business, Debbie realised there was a need for a company to help new businesses with setting up advice and also to provide an accounts and payroll function to small and medium sized companies who could then concentrate on their core duties.
It became apparent very quickly that many entrepreneurs setting up their own businesses had sufficient knowledge about the markets in which they were trading, but knew little of the tax liabilities and VAT requirements affecting them. Thus PURPLE was formed, initially to make the transition from employed to self-employed a little easier for it’s clients.
With new companies being formed the need quickly arose for book-keeping and accounts services, particularly for the sole traders and partnerships, who needed to concentrate all of their efforts on getting the business up and running. PURPLE then moved into offering a payroll bureau service to larger companies with more employees, who wanted to outsource the work and keep the costs to a minimum.
With it’s contacts with Accountants and Bank Managers PURPLE now finds itself in a position were it is able to provide a whole range of services and advice, from starting up a venture, to helping companies develop and grow with confidence.
Each company which chooses PURPLE as it’s ‘partner in business’ is appointed to an associate. That associate will look after that business from then on, becoming familiar with all aspects of the business and taking full responsibility for it. Only fully experienced staff are employed by the company, allowing PURPLE to draw on their many years of knowledge.
